iNexus Inc. / 株式会社インネクサス (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Directors: Rikiei Watanabe and Zhenbin Zhang; hereinafter “iNexus”), an EdTech startup operating a STEM+C** education platform, is pleased to report that its proposal has been selected for the “FY2024 (Reiwa 6) TOKYO Innovation Creation Program Utilizing Regional Resources,” organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center).
This program is a support scheme aimed at creating new businesses, products, and services that leverage Tokyo’s regional resources (technology, human resources, culture, industry, and more), as well as their social implementation and commercialization. It recognizes innovative initiatives undertaken in collaboration with local communities.
Overview of the Selected Project
Project title:
“Learning from Early Childhood! Experiential Algorithm Education”
Project overview:
In this project, we will develop an experiential programming-education package that lets young children learn naturally while feeling a sense of “fun.” By building a system in which children can intuitively grasp algorithms and logical thinking through play, and by visualizing the “stumbling points” they encounter while learning, we make it possible to provide support tailored to each child. This cultivates the foundations of 21st-century skills—such as logical thinking, analogical reasoning, and problem-solving—from early childhood, and is expected to strengthen the basic abilities that underpin future work in STEM fields.
Direction of the initiative:
Through this project, we will deepen co-creation with local communities while promoting adoption at educational sites centered on Tokyo, thereby contributing to the development of the next generation. Building on this project, we will also establish a framework for collaboration with other municipalities, educational institutions, research institutions, and private companies, aiming to form a sustainable innovation ecosystem. By continuing to provide educational solutions with high social impact, we will create a model that grows together with the community.
Outlook
Going forward, with the support of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, we will proceed with demonstration trials, refinement of our services, and collaboration with our user community, aiming for prompt commercialization and scale-up. To achieve both the resolution of regional issues and economic value, we will work on this as one unified company.
