iNexus Inc. / 株式会社インネクサス (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Directors: Rikiei Watanabe and Zhenbin Zhang; hereinafter “iNexus”), an EdTech startup operating a STEM+C** education platform, is pleased to announce that Professor Yoshiaki Kudo of Takushoku University has joined our advisory board as a Design Advisor.
iNexus upholds the mission of “creating a future in which everyone can freely embody ‘the world’ and ‘their possibilities’ by removing every barrier—of borders, language, education, and culture—and realizing a borderless society.” Under this philosophy, we plan, develop, and provide the next-generation STEM+C education platform, the “Manande Puzzle” series—fusing IT, programming, algorithms, and experiential learning—as our core business, working to expand learning opportunities primarily for younger generations.

In Japan’s current primary and secondary education, one-directional instruction from educators still predominates. While knowledge is acquired, a challenge remains: abilities such as “application,” “creativity,” “expression,” and “collaboration” are not easily nurtured. Against this backdrop, we believe it is essential to redesign inquiry-based, collaborative learning environments—in which children “think for themselves and work through challenges in cooperation with others”—from the perspectives of social design and community design.
With Professor Kudo’s participation in this project, we will jointly explore a more practical design of learning that incorporates a perspective connecting education and society.
In addition to his expertise in the history of design, Professor Kudo is engaged in practical research and social contribution—supporting community education and cultural activities with Hachioji City as his field, from the perspectives of community-design support and integrated studies. His research themes include design proposals grounded in regional studies, support for community activities, and design proposals for future community development, through which he pursues initiatives aimed at improving the quality of learning.
Going forward, together with Professor Kudo and the Kudo Laboratory, we will design and implement effective learning models based on data analysis such as the results of field-implementation testing, aiming to build educational environments suited to younger learners. We also plan to understand and analyze the ideal form of education from the perspectives of “community design” and “social design,” and to jointly develop and roll out new-era IT education services accordingly.
**What is STEM+C? To “STEM” — the initials of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics — are added the “4 Cs” advocated as essential in the 21st century: Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication. To these, iNexus adds Contact — the hands-on, experiential learning we especially value — for a new educational approach built on five “+C”s.
