iNexus Inc. (the “Company”) establishes the following Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) regarding the handling of users’ personal information on the website it operates, https://inexus-co.com/ (the “Site”), and the smartphone and tablet applications it provides (the “Apps”).

Recognizing that the protection of personal information is a social responsibility of businesses, the Company complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and other relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines. We acquire, use, and manage the personal information we collect appropriately, within the scope of the purposes of use stated in advance.

ScopeScope

This Policy applies to the handling of personal information on the Site and the Apps (including “Manande Puzzle” and “Saiten-kun”, as well as each app the Company provides). Each of the Company’s apps refers to this Policy as its policy on the handling of personal information. The handling of personal information on external websites or services linked from the Site or the Apps is governed by the respective providers’ privacy policies.

When you contact us through the contact form or similar means, we collect the following information.

We use this information within the scope of the following purposes.

  • For research and analysis to provide, improve, and enhance the quality of our services and products
  • To provide information about our services and products

Information collected when you use the Apps

In the Apps, we may collect the following information depending on how you use them, in order to provide functions and services.

  • Account information (email address, nickname, information for authentication, and the like, including cases where you authenticate using an external account such as Google or Apple)
  • Camera and photo information (such as images of worksheets or answer sheets captured or selected for grading or learning support)
  • Learning and usage information (learning and usage history, grades and grading results, content you enter or create, and the like)
  • Device and log information (OS and device type, device identifiers, app version, usage logs, diagnostic (crash and performance) information, tokens for push notifications, and the like)
  • Billing and purchase information (the status of purchases and use through stores such as the App Store and Google Play. Payment information such as credit card numbers is managed by each store, and the Company does not collect or retain it)
  • Location information (in some functions, we may collect it based on your device settings)

We use this information for the purposes of providing the Apps’ functions and services, verifying identity and managing accounts, providing and improving the learning experience, managing billing and purchases, sending important notices and support communications, and conducting research and analysis for quality improvement. The information collected and the purposes of use may differ depending on each app; in such cases, we will provide separate notice within each app.

Images captured and content entered may be processed by external cloud and AI services engaged by the Company, in order to provide functions such as grading and analysis. We appropriately supervise such service providers in accordance with this Policy and applicable laws.

About advertising (in some Apps)

In some of the Apps (such as free plans), we may use third-party ad-delivery services, including Google “AdMob”, to deliver advertisements. Accordingly, information such as advertising identifiers may be collected and used by those providers for ad delivery and effectiveness measurement. The display of interest-based (personalized) advertising can be limited through your device settings (such as limiting ad tracking or resetting your advertising ID).

Access information and Cookies

To improve the convenience of our services and understand how they are used, we may collect access information (such as browser and device type, IP address, the pages or screens viewed or used, and the referrer) using Cookies on the Site and device identifiers and the like in the Apps. This information is processed statistically and does not, by itself, identify any specific individual.

You can stop this collection by disabling Cookies in your browser settings on the Site, or through your device and OS settings in the Apps. If you disable it, some functions may become unavailable.

When the purpose of use has been achieved and the personal information is no longer needed, we promptly delete or dispose of it.

Supervision of contractors

When we outsource the handling of personal information to external parties within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use, we select contractors that meet a sufficient level of protection and supervise them appropriately.

Except in any of the following cases, the Company will not provide the personal information it has collected to third parties without obtaining the prior consent of the individual.

  • When it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
  • When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
  • When it is necessary to cooperate with a state organ or the like in performing the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the individual’s consent is likely to impede the performance of such affairs

MinorsPersonal Information of Minors

The Company provides services in the field of education, and children may use the Site and the Apps. If a person under the age of 15 uses the Site or the Apps, or provides personal information through an inquiry or other means, they must do so only with the consent of a parent or guardian. In such cases, the Company treats such use as having been made with the guardian’s consent. Guardians may request the disclosure, correction, deletion, suspension of use, or the like of their child’s personal information (please contact the contact point at the bottom of this page). If it comes to light that we have collected personal information without a guardian’s consent, we will respond appropriately in accordance with laws and regulations.
